Overview
Hat FSI is the first reserved AIF launched by HAT SGR, specialized in investing in infrastructure and Private Equity. It’s the first Italian fund promoted by a non-bank institutional investor oriented towards investing in new infrastructures.
Investment policy
The Fund invests mainly in technological infrastructures, as well as in renewable energy projects, gas distribution networks and car parks, through special purpose vehicles for the construction, management and enhancement of new local economic infrastructures (greenfield investments) or in existing companies operating in the economic infrastructure sector (brownfield investments).
Brownfield investments have a duration of 5-7 years; greenfield ones up to 12 years. Investments are between €5 and €30 million, mainly through capital increases, possibly accompanied by shareholder loans, including convertible ones.
