Optimization of the expansion operation through HAT’s support in company’s external development

The transaction, generated in June 2014 by an advisor of HAT network, consisted in a capital expansion of €7.6 million subscribed by HAT Fund 3 for a 19% stake to support external growth.
Lutech’s value has grown during HAT’s investment period mainly through the company’s external development (buy and build), with 11 acquisitions in the three-year holding period. The Management Team contributed to Lutech’s value growth through the constant support in the scouting and evaluation of extraordinary operations thanks to the specific know-how of the sector, the improvement of company’s organizational system and through Networking activities for the development of new business.

Exit strategy and investment enhancement

Trade sale to another Found. The exit was carried out as part of the sale of Lutech to a Fund managed by One Equity Partners. In particular, prior to the sale by the majority shareholder Laserline, the latter exercised the call option towards HAT at a predetermined IRR, and then proceeded with the sale of its entire stake, generating a multiple on the invested capital equal to 1.7x.
